Andy Rutz, CNU-A
Principal / Founder
Andy has over 15 years of professional experience in urban design, architecture & urban planning. He has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors, which gives him a unique perspective that helps in fostering successful collaboration between both sides. As a designer, Andy’s passion is rooted in bringing tangible, physical change and improvement to the communities in which he works.
Andy also teaches in the Master of Urban and Regional Planning and Master of Urban Design programs at the University of Colorado - Denver, and serves on the school’s Urban Design Advisory Council.
Outside of work, Andy loves to spend his time with his family - wife, Cory; daughters, Maeve & Grace; and dog, Avon Barksdale - exploring small towns and the natural beauty of the outdoors in Colorado.
Andy has been fortunate to work with a wide range of both public and private clients, focused most recently in his home state of Colorado, but spanning numerous communities across the country.
